We The People was a vocal quartet that was signed to Lionel Records that recorded a handful of singles between 1969 and 1976. They specialised in rich, harmony-driven soul and funk with gospel undertones, the kind of smooth, orchestrated soul that was emerging in the early '70s. Their best known track is Making My Daydream Real (1973), a lush, mid-tempo soul tune that became a blend and classy production, the kind of record that slipped under the radar commercially at the time, but aged beautifully.. Their most prolific release is this release from 1973 produced by Landy McNeal. The music arranger was the prolific Bert DeCoteaux Ace Spectrum (Don't Sent Nobody Else). Also Patti Austin, The Main Ingredient, Roy Ayres, Ramsey Lewis, Ben E. King, Sister Sledge, Lonnie Liston Smith and Marlena Shaw to name a few.
